Whispering Touch is excited to be providing a location in Woodstock, CT for Thermography. Thermal imaging will be provided by New England Clinical Thermography from Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Thermography is the taking of digital infrared images as a non-invasive screening technique. The images are interpreted by medical doctors who are certified by the American college of Clinical Thermography. Thermography detects changes in the skin surface temperature which may indicate various abnormalities in the body. There is no radiation, no drugs and no physical contact. Thermography is not a substitute for mammography or other types of diagnostic studies more widely accepted by modern medicine.

In the case of thermography for breast screenings usually there is one set of images taken of that particular body area, and then this is followed up in approximately three months by another study of that same area. The two studies make a “baseline” study which any following studies (usually annually) are compared to. |
